With the West Nile Virus and other
diseases that are spread by mosquitoes our need for more Mosquito
control is ever increasing.
It is unlikely to suggest that we lock ourselves in our homes from dusk
to dawn. Therefore, we have to find methods to control mosquitoes in and
around your area. As simple as this may seem, mosquito control is
something that mankind has been trying to accomplish for over a century.
This leaves us with the question of how do we do it.
Options to Consider in Controlling Mosquitoes:
Mosquito control can be done through a wide assortment of natural
methods including eliminating tall grass and standing water. Because
mosquitos need water to breed, you have to ensure that all standing
water cleaned up no matter how large or small the amount. Others have
used deterrents such as citronella and other plants to control the
mosquito population in their area. While other people have purchased and
used a wide range of pest control products including flytraps and fly
tape.
Another option is to use electronic pest control that deter, or
eliminate mosquitoes when they enter your protected space such as your
home.
On the other hand, some use chemicals, which do effectively kill off the
mosquitoes in that area. However, it is important to realize that
chemicals are the most powerful option and can be harmful to the
environment. Countless cities and states, which have been infested by
the mosquito that carry and transmit West Nile Virus and other such
diseases, the use of chemical control is an effective method of
controlling mosquito's.
No matter what form you choose, mosquito control is necessary.
